A380 at Paris Air Show – Raising Awareness on Coral Reefs

Hi Fly’s A380 was one of the stars during the flying display of the Paris Air Show 2019, stealing the show and delighting the visitors, who had the opportunity to watch a high quality performance of flight capabilities of the largest commercial passenger aircraft in the world. These air show displays, which are always spectacular and often amazing, are one of the show’s high points, giving exhibitors the opportunity to showcase their technological expertise and allowing visitors to discover the latest innovations.

The 53rd Paris Air Show took place at the Le Bourget airport and once again brought together players of the global aviation industry. The Paris Air Show continues to be amongst the world’s largest aerospace events, involving 2,400 exhibitors from 50 countries, around 350,000 visitors, 300 top level delegations and 3,000 journalists.

Raising awareness on Coral Reefs

The flying displays were also way of supporting the Mirpuri Foundation campaign “Save the Coral Reefs”, as the A380 is painted with a special-themed livery, aiming to reinforce worldwide the message of sustainability and protection of the seas.

The aircraft is painted differently on both sides, one side in dark blue displaying destroyed corals contrasting with a light blue side representing a pristine ocean with colourful and healthy marine life.

With this initiative, Hi Fly is raising awareness for this unprecedented campaign to fight the destruction of coral reefs. According to the Mirpuri Foundation, these ecosystems will disappear by 2050 if no action is taken.
